Saffron – An Edible Flavoring

Saffron is a spice grown throughout the world.  It is found in the Abruzzo Region of Italy.  In the town of Valle San Giovanni it is used to flavor risotto.   Guests at Casale make this dish for both lunch and for dinner.

  1. Saffron goes well with vinocotto. It is typically used to season rice at Casale.
